Come Back To Me is the first single (thirty-second overall) released from Utada’s yet-to-be-titled third English studio album (eighth overall). The single is to be sent for adds on mainstream radio on February 10th, with Urban stations receiving the song one day earlier. The song was released to the public for streaming on the AllAccess web site on January 6th, with Utada’s official web site and MySpace following this. On January 16, 2009, the cover art for the single was released on her official MySpace page! -loves from Wikipedia.org

Song:

I love it how the song has such an “American” feel and she’s able to make songs that sound “Japanese” too! Gosh.

The piano-opener catches your attention so you’ll stay listening to it and it WORKS.

And I like it how the bridge/interlude-thing is really low, but she doesn’t repeat it that much until it gets annoying.
Just one very low “babeh, come back to me” and it’s back to the original beat. And I love the long bridge part, “everything from to A to Z” and such. Gaah.

The lyrics are creative too! “I wish we could photoshop all our of bad memories”. Oeh I love that part. I think she reaches the high notes quite well, considering what happened to her voice in 2006, it does sound strained, but I like it.

The end of the song is adorable. “Lalalalaaa” and the piano sounds are back again. Awh!

Overall: it’s a great song. And though it sounds really “American” and “Mainstream”-like, it has an original sound too. It sounds like a great hit! One that everyone will be singing in the bus to work/school.

Did I mention that all my friends like the song too (I live in Europe btw ;D ), I hope it becomes a hit here too.

Covers:

I just noticed they have the same colour-scheme (is it called colour-scheme?) Grey and white and pink. Yeah, Utada’s skin looks pink-ish. And both covers have arrows point down. It’s quite obvious in the first cover, in the second cover it’s in her hoodie! I’m not sure what to think of the photograph. I like her hair cut though! And I like the hoodie-thing, a lot.

But the text bothers me, not just

the font but also the placement. But no one will care with this amazing song!

I’m already putting money aside so I can buy the album =).
