I listened to this single a while ago and I really like the cello-vocalist combination. But that’s not the reason why I wanted to review this single. I wanted to review this single because of the last track: still doll, the music box version. I fell in love with that. Yes, Blackmager, you’ve made me addicted. I just had to review this.

Still Doll
Ah, this song’s lingering in my head. It’s the reason I want to play cello now [besides the fact that I've seen many cello video's on youtube]
Hi Miss Alice, the lyrics are lovely (yes I looked them up. Linkie in my blogroll). The song is a bit odd, can’t find a chorus, a bridge, no nothing. But, after looking up the lyrics, the structure of the song might make more sense.
Kanon Wakeshima’s voice sounds a bit cracky, but I think that’s on purpose. I do like her voice, it has something. And it adds to the song.
I love the cello, seriously, she made me love it very much. This song is an amazing debut song, I’d love to hear more of her.
Don’t like the PV though. Neither do I like the anime that this song was used for its ending.
7/10 - for the creepiness and awkward feeling [postive meaning] and the cello. But it’s still a bit undeveloped. I’d like to see a new version of Still Doll.
Kuroi Torikago
Wait I do hear more of her. This song starts rather dark-wavish (think Android Lust). The strings cut of the electronics very classicly and Wakeshima starts to sing. This song is very classical with ‘modern’ elements. It’s a great rock song and dance song. A nice working contrast. I like the vocals a lot more in this song.
God I’m addicted to this song <3
I love the arrangments. I want an instrumental version of this song.
8/10 – for the arrangment, instruments used and vocals [I'm really easy with vocals, because I'm singing too and it's really something unlike other instruments].
Still doll (music box version)
Still doll’s ‘ instrumental’. You only hear an orgel playing the melody of still doll. Somehow the sound is really creepy and yet very adorable. In the middle of the song the music stops. Then you hear a rewinding sound and the second part of the song starts again.
8/10 – for it’s simplicity, cuteness and freakiness. [also for orignality]
